Catching Colour
Catching Colour is artist Rana Begum’s new outdoor installation, created specifically for Botanic Square, near our home on London City Island. This dramatic work, featuring ‘clouds’ of suspended coloured mesh, is simultaneously light and monumental, appearing to float above the square’s central pathway.
To celebrate the launch of this mesmerising artwork, our Associate Choreographer Stina Quagebeur has created a new five-minute dance piece for two dancers, who will be wearing clothes by designer Roksanda Ilinčić, with music composed by Jeremy Birchall. Join us at 12pm and 2pm to watch the performance: tickets are free, but booking is essential.
Catching Colour is an exciting new addition to the works by 19 leading contemporary artists to be found on The Line, London’s first dedicated public art walk, which runs from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to The O2.
Update: tickets for this event are now sold out.
