Kingsley Lin

Education

Studied the violin with Boris Kucharsky at the Yehudi Menuhin School of music, where he also studied the piano, viola, and composition. Kingsley began his conducting studies with Sian Edwards. He is currently enrolled at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he studies conducting with Mark Stringer, and opera accompaniment with Andreas Henning.

Previous Companies

Kingsley has actively participated in masterclasses with Mark Wigglesworth, Johannes Schlaefli, Nicolas Pasquet and Marin Alsop. Orchestras he has conducted in masterclasses include the Athens Philharmonia, the Manchester Camerata, the RNCM orchestra, and the Südwestdeutsche Philamonie Konstanz. In March 2023, he conducted the London Symphony Orchestra in the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, where he was the youngest participant. With the beginning of the 2024/25 season he will begin a two year contract as Korrepetitor at the opera studio of the Vienna State Opera.
