Workshop
London
Fri 22 November 2024
This enriching workshop intends to support all Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 curriculum teachers to gain the tools to create an inclusive and motivating environment, develop confidence to deliver creative dance lessons in school, and gain a deeper knowledge of the production.

This CPD workshop is inspired by English National Ballet’s critically acclaimed production of Giselle, choreographed by Akram Khan.

This four-hour, in-person workshop will take place at English National Ballet’s home in East London – the Mulryan Centre for Dance – on 22 November. This experience offers teachers the opportunity to immerse themselves in this visionary work, learn how to deliver this to students, experience the cross over of ballet and kathak and be inspired by the emotive and powerful work.

Sessions will be led by an ENB Associate Dance Artist and a Dance Education Specialist.

The production is available to watch online in full here on our Ballet On Demand platform. As part of this CPD training, teachers will be given access to an interactive digital resource pack featuring:

  • Online filmed repertoire phrases to watch and learn (featuring ENB Company dancers)
  • Creative tasks to generate choreographic responses
  • Cross-curricular activities
  • Suggested music options
