English National Ballet is pleased to announce the Dance for Parkinson’s spring term will take inspiration from the legendary choreographer William Forsythe.
About William Forsythe
Forsythe takes classical ballet and modern influences to push the barriers of the traditional rules he was taught. With a focus on the exploration of movement and the process, Forsythe encourages dancers to explore improvisation within the choreography. When interviewed by the New York Times in discussion about his signature style, Forsythe shared “If dance only does what we assume it can do, it will expire, I keep trying to test the limits of what the word choreography means.”
In 2018, Forsythe and English National Ballet gave audiences a high when Playlist (Track 1,2) premiered, and in 2022 it was expanded into Playlist EP which bought the house down. We are thrilled to share in 2025 this exhilarating piece is back, with The Forsythe Programme heading to Sadler’s Wells in April 2025.
