Discover! Creative Careers Week 2024
Discover! Creative Careers Week is an opportunity for young people to gain insights and pathways into job roles in the creative industries. English National Ballet is taking part in this initiative by offering workshops in schools, and we also have great digital resources and teachers workshops available.
In-person Workshops
Southampton and Portsmouth
English National Ballet is excited to offer in-school Nutcracker Insights Workshops in Southampton and Portsmouth during the Discover! Creative Careers week (18 – 22 November).
This 2-hour creative dance workshop will include a career-in-the-arts presentation and give students in Key Stages 2-4 a behind-the-scenes preview into the making of our new production of the Nutcracker, choreographed by English National Ballet’s Artistic Director, Aaron S. Watkin, and Olivier Award-winner Arielle Smith.
For more details and to book a workshop please email engagement@ballet.org.uk. Please note bookings are limited and subject to availability and scheduling, and for schools with a Southampton or Portsmouth postcode only.
London
On 22 November 2024, we are hosting an in-person CPD workshop for Key Stage 3 and 4 teachers at the Mulryan Centre for Dance, exploring our critically acclaimed production of Akram Khan’s Giselle.
This experience offers teachers the opportunity to immerse themselves in this visionary work, learn how to deliver this to students, experience the cross over of ballet and kathak and be inspired by the emotive and powerful work. Find out more and book here.

Students in Key Stages 2-4 can enjoy English National Ballet’s wide-range of online digital resources, which can be used by students and teachers alike to enrich their dance education.
