Widgit symbols support written text to make the meaning clearer and easier to understand. All of these resources are available to download for free (PDF format) and you will also find extra activities in our printed programmes at theatres throughout the tour.

The My First Ballet: Swan Lake Symbol Resources are designed for use before, during and after performances.

What to expect from an ENB Relaxed Performance

At ENB Relaxed Performances, we welcome audiences to come as they are, encouraging everyone to relax and respond to the show in their own ways, which often includes making noise and moving freely.

On the left, a male dancer as Prince Siegfried kneels with arms outstretched towards a ballerina in a white tutu as Odette, who stands gracefully in pointe. On the right, a dancer as Rothbart leaps dynamically with outspread arms and a dark, wing-like costume. The stage is framed by rocky scenery and an arched silhouette of trees.

Our Relaxed Performances are sensory adapted and suitable for those with various access needs. Light and sound elements are altered and the house lights are on throughout the performance.

A chill out space is provided with a comfortable place to rest. The show is available to watch live outside of the auditorium on a screen.

There is an open-door policy, meaning if you need a break, you can go in and out of the auditorium as much as you like.

For more information and details around what to expect at a relaxed performance, information on chill out spaces, characters, Widgit resources and more, see our Visual Programme here.
