Affiliations
Carmen has danced in several European companies including Ballet Victor Ullate, European Ballet, Zürich Ballet, English National Ballet and joined the Semperoper Ballett in 2006 where she was then promoted to a soloist. She has danced a wide variety of repertoire from classical to contemporary excelling in the Bournonville and Balanchine styles. Since 2008, Carmen has been a guest ballet teacher in many different dance companies throughout Europe. From 2016, she was Ballet Master with the Semperoper Ballett, responsible for the choreographies of MacMillan, Balanchine, Forsythe, Dawson, Watkin, Celis, Ashton, Peck, Ekman, Inger, Bausch and Assistant to the Production Director Kathryn Bennetts for Impressing the Czar by Forsythe. Carmen joined Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2021 as Repetiteur under the direction of Carlos Acosta working on repertoire by Cardim, Clug, MacMillan, Sir Peter Wright, Bintley, Stevenson, Sholz, Kylián, Rinoso, Nunes
