Be inspired and meet dancers and creatives at English National Ballet\u2019s state of the art studios in Canning Town. Find out about life as a professional dancer, gain behind the scenes insights and create a choreography to perform to family and friends on the final day. This is an opportunity you won\u2019t want to miss!<\/p>\n<p>The programme is FREE OF CHARGE and is available for <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Newham or Tower Hamlets residents<\/span><\/strong>. Places are offered on a first come, first served basis.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by English National Ballet\u2019s work, dancers will take part in a morning class exploring both ballet and contemporary technique followed by a session looking at English National Ballet repertoire. In the afternoon dancers take part in different workshops each day (previous workshops have included Wigs, Hair &amp; Makeup for performance, costume department tour, Q&amp;A with ENB Dancers) followed by a choreography session working towards an informal sharing to parents, guardians and carers on the final day.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Dates and Times<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Tuesday 28 \u2013 Friday 31 May 2024<br \/>\n9.30am \u2013 3.30pm<\/p>\n<p>On the final day parents, carers and guardians are invited to watch a sharing from 2.30pm.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Who can book<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ballet Club is a free programme open to children living in Newham or Tower Hamlets aged 9 \u2013 12 years. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Dancers are encouraged to commit to the full week of activity to gain the most benefits.<\/p>\n<p>For further information about this programme, please contact <a href=\"mailto:engagement@ballet.org.uk\"><strong>engagement@ballet.org.uk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What to wear<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>*Please wear clothing you can move in: something stretchy is ideal and not too loose, so that you don\u2019t get tangled up. Participants should wear soft dance slippers or dance in bare feet for class (no socks for safety reasons).
